This is a photographic guide to 50 commonly seen coral reef fish of Thailand and South-East Asia. Each fish has a photo, a brief description and where to look for it. There is also a ‘look out for’ tip to help you identify the fish from others as some have similar shapes, colours or markings.
Snorkelling from Thailand’s beaches gives you a great opportunity to get up close to some of the most colourful fish in the world amongst an amazing landscape of corals. It has to be one of the top experiences of visiting a tropical island where reefs exist.
I have created this guide having been snorkelling and photographing around Thailand’s reefs for 14 years. When I first went snorkelling I loved seeing the incredible range of fish but I quickly wanted to know what I was seeing without getting into lots of scientific names and biological descriptions or paying a lot of money for an in-depth guide.
"The pictures are great and would be really useful for dive leaders to show their customers before diving. We will be purchasing a copy and using at our place for sure."
